Nice to Monaco: the beach clubs of our home water.
The stretch of coast we call home — Nice, Cap Ferrat, Beaulieu, Èze, Cap d’Ail, Monaco — packs more beach clubs into thirty minutes of water than anywhere else on the Riviera. These are the tables our charters reach before the first swim has dried, each with the honest word from the crew.
the cove, mid-season
The caps: Passable and the Mala cove
Plage de Passable on Cap Ferrat is the one we recommend first — ten minutes from our quay, west-facing across at Villefranche, a good table on the sand and water so calm the boat barely notices it is at anchor. Around at Cap d’Ail, the Mala cove hides its pair of clubs at the foot of the cliffs — reachable by a long stair on land but effortlessly by sea, which is precisely why it is the classic swim-and-lunch stop on a Monaco day.
Under the cliffs: Anjuna at Èze
Anjuna holds the sand at Èze-sur-Mer beneath the village’s eagle-nest cliffs — barefoot-boho daybeds, DJs at a civilised volume, a kitchen that runs from sushi to the grill. It is the youngest-feeling club on the home stretch and five minutes’ tender from a beautiful anchorage; summer weekends want booking well ahead, which we fold into the charter.

The city ends: Nice and Monaco
Bookending the run: at Nice, Castel Plage tucks under the castle hill at the old town’s end — the Promenade’s prettiest lunch, best entered from the water. At Monaco, La Note Bleue on Larvotto does jazz-inflected afternoons, and the Monte-Carlo Beach’s crescent keeps the principality’s classic seaside glamour. And at our own port, the African Queen in Beaulieu remains the dock-and-dine institution — the quayside table where a charter day loves to end.
The short answers
Comfortably two, with swims between — a Mala or Passable lunch and an evening quay table is the classic shape. The distances are so short that the day never feels like travel, only arrival.
Passable is the ten-minute answer — calm water, an easy crowd and a tender ride of about a minute. From there the taste test begins: Anjuna for younger energy, the Mala cove for drama, the African Queen to end at home.
