your day, on the riviera

A day beautifully unfolded.

Music up, glasses full and the coast to yourselves — from the quay at Beaulieu-sur-Mer to the golden run home. Nothing here is fixed: shape it however you like, or hand the whole day to the captain. Either way, a day of ultimate fun.

  1. 11:00Port de Beaulieu-sur-Mer: We leave the harbour. Coffee in hand, the coastline opens up.
  2. 12:30Rade de Villefranche: Drinks. Swim. Explore. Music on. Hidden coves. Clear water. All to ourselves.
  3. 14:00Pointe Saint-Hospice: Long lunch. Local flavours, served where the sea meets the table.
  4. 16:30Monaco — Port Hercule: A grand entrance into the beach club. A tender into the club, DJ, a full deck, drinks coming round, it’s time to have fun.
  5. 18:30Homeward, off the Cap: The run home. The sea flattens, the light turns, and nobody says much.
  6. 19:00Port de Beaulieu-sur-Mer: The farewell. Back alongside, salt still in your hair, already working out when you can come back.

Just the Riviera, on your terms — one boat, one crew, and eight hours of coastline that answer to nobody else.

Leave when you like. Stay as long as you like. Come back when the light goes.

music for the run home

The captain’s records.

What actually gets played out there — the slow ones for the golden run back, and the ones that go on when nobody wants the day to end. Drop the needle on any of them and hear what your afternoon sounds like.

And what would you have on? Send us the playlist and it is already playing when you step aboard.

the same day, in words

Read it hour by hour instead

The port, unhurried

We meet you wherever the day is starting — the quay at Beaulieu-sur-Mer where she berths, the pontoon in Monaco, or the harbour nearest wherever you are staying. Coffee if you want it, no paperwork theatre. Bags aboard, a five-minute walk-through of the boat, and the lines come off when you are ready, not when a schedule says so.

The first swim

We anchor somewhere the water is clear and the crowds are not — a cove under the Cap, or the bay at Villefranche if the light is right. The platform goes down, the fenders become pool toys, and the rosé stays iced.

Lunch, your way

Either we book you a table — Passable on Cap Ferrat, Anjuna at Èze, La Guérite on the Lérins if we have run west — and put you ashore dry and on time, or lunch comes aboard and we eat at anchor with the coast to ourselves.

The long afternoon

The best hours on the water. Another bay, another swim, a slow pass along the Monaco waterfront close enough to read the yacht names, or forty knots of open water simply because the boat can. The afternoon is not planned. That is the point of it.

The golden run home

The light goes amber, the sea usually flattens, and the run back to Beaulieu is the part guests talk about afterwards. Music up or engines only. We are alongside by seven, and nobody has looked at a watch all day.

now the practical part

Plan your day.

Tell us what you want out of the day — a long lunch, empty water, somewhere the water and somewhere to jump off it — and the captain builds it round that. Say nothing at all and he reads the weather and the mood, which is what most guests end up preferring.

Lunch ashore

we book the table & can arrange the tender

Castel Plage

Nice

Tucked under the castle hill where the Promenade runs out and the old town begins — the prettiest lunch in Nice, and one that is far nicer entered from the water than from the road.

Twenty minutes west of the berth and the easiest way to give a charter day an afternoon in Nice. Ask for a table at the front, on the pebbles.

Anjuna

Èze-sur-Mer

Barefoot-boho on the sand under the Èze cliffs — day beds, a menu from sushi to the grill, and a DJ at a civilised volume.

The one to pick when the party is the point. You can eat in your swimwear and nobody will blink.

La Guérite

Île Sainte-Marguerite

On its own island off Cannes since 1935, reachable only by water, looking back at the Croisette. Greek-leaning feast plates, then dancing between the tables.

Theatre with lunch attached. Wonderful — but do not book it if anyone in your party wants a quiet afternoon.

Mirazur

Menton

Mauro Colagreco’s three-star dining room above the bay, voted the world’s best restaurant in 2019, with its own terraced gardens supplying the plates.

The furthest east we go and the single best meal on this coast. Months of notice, a late lunch, and the boat brings you home in the evening light.

Eden-Roc

Cap d’Antibes

The pavilion cut into the rocks at the tip of the Cap, with the famous diving board below and a terrace that has fed the century’s guest list.

The most formal table on our list — jackets, and a booking made well ahead. Worth structuring an entire westward day around.

Plage Mala

Cap d’Ail

A green-water cove ringed by cliffs, guarded from the crowds by a staircase of 150-odd steps that we simply do not use.

Come for the setting rather than the cooking. Five minutes off the Monaco run and the smugness of arriving by sea is free.

Passable

Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

The Cap’s west-facing beach looking straight across at Villefranche — a varied menu, an easy crowd, and gentler prices than its neighbours.

The sensible middle of this list, and arguably the best view on it. Anchor off before nine and the bay is yours.

Solenzara

Roquebrune-Cap-Martin

An elegant beach club with a wide open terrace over the bay, serving simple Mediterranean cooking and very good cocktails.

Quietly one of the best-value tables east of Monaco, and a natural stop on a Menton day.

Or lunch aboard

Eating at anchor, with the coast to yourselves and nobody waiting on the table, is half our charters and some of the best days we run. The galley has a fridge, ice, a sink, a prep surface and everything to eat off.

Per request, let us arrange it — cold cuts, cheeses, fresh bread, salad and fruit, or something rather grander — with a couple of days’ notice. Dietary needs are no trouble at all if we know when you book.

Food and drinks can be arranged · quoted with the rest of your day

Drinks

Iced water is always aboard, and the fridge is stocked to your order — tell us what you drink and it will be cold and waiting when you step on. Nothing for you to carry down the quay.

A complimentary welcome rosé is on ice before you board — that one is on us. Champagne for an occasion, whatever else the day calls for: all arranged for you and quoted with the rest of the day. Red wine and white sunbeds maintain their historic tension.

What to bring

A hat that grips
Fifty knots has claimed a hundred loose panamas. The sea does not give them back.
Reef-safe sunscreen
Applied before boarding — the breeze hides the burn until dinner.
Sunglasses
A spare pair if you love them. The Mediterranean glare is not a rumour.
A light layer
Linen or cotton. The run home at speed is gorgeously breezy even in August.
A camera
Phones survive fine in a dry pouch, which the boat carries.
A card or cash
For lunch ashore — restaurant bills are settled by you directly, never marked up through us.

Already aboard

  • Proper towels
  • Seabobs and the water toys
  • Snorkelling masks and fins
  • A freshwater shower
  • Two cabin beds below
  • Changing room with mirrors
  • Fridge, ice and a prep surface in the galley
  • Iced water, and drinks kept cold by the crew
  • Shade amidships when the sun wins

so you can step off for dinner without going back to change

Where we can go

Anywhere between Menton and Cannes on an ordinary day, with Saint-Tropez as a great run west. Every stretch of it has its own page, written from the helm.

See the chart table

Getting to the port

Thirty minutes from Nice airport, fifteen from central Nice, ten from Monaco — and the coastal train stops a five-minute walk from the quay. We can put you in touch with a driver if you would rather not think about it.

One local quirk worth knowing: Uber may drop you in Monaco but may not pick you up there.

Or we bring her to you — say the word and the Queen of Hearts meets you at whichever port suits your day.

Reservations made

Day beds at the beach club, the long lunch where the music is loud, the late one in Monte-Carlo — tell us where you want to be and it is arranged while you are still on the water. The good tables go by mid-morning; we make the calls so you do not have to.

Step off the passerelle and straight into it, in the clothes you changed into on board. No queue, no taxi, no going back to the hotel first.

asked before every charter

No — this page is what a day tends to look like, not what it must. The whole reason to charter privately is that the day is yours: leave later, skip lunch ashore, spend four hours at one anchorage. The captain will tell you honestly what the sea allows, and everything inside that is your call.

Comfortably, anywhere between Menton and Cannes — Monaco is about ten minutes at speed, Villefranche five, the Lérins islands around fifty. And on the right day, Saint-Tropez: the long, fast, glamorous special. Tell us it is on your list and the captain will find you the perfect sea for it.

The standard day runs 11:00 to 19:00 from the Port de Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Earlier starts for a quiet sea, or later finishes for the evening light, are usually possible — you can pick your cast-off time when you reserve.

Yes, and it is the thing guests are most often surprised by. Below deck there is a proper changing area with mirrors, a shower and room to spread out — so you come back up dressed for lunch at the beach club, or for dinner ashore, instead of going back to the hotel to get ready first.

There is, and it is more than the deck suggests: two cabin beds, a changing area with mirrors, storage for bags and clothes, a shower and a lavatory. It is what lets a day at anchor run straight into an evening ashore without a break in the middle of it.

Swimwear, sunglasses and a hat that will survive fifty knots. Nothing else — towels are aboard, and food and drinks are arranged for you and quoted with the day, so there is nothing to carry down the quay. Shoes come off at the passerelle; the teak deck is kinder to bare feet anyway.

This is your day.

We take care of the details. You decide the story.
