Where to eat in Beaulieu-sur-Mer — from port pizza to La Réserve.
For a town of four thousand people, Beaulieu eats remarkably well — a proper market, one grand old palace dining room, and a port lined with tables a metre from the boats. This is the chart we actually give guests, from flip-flops to jackets.

On the port: the African Queen and neighbours
The African Queen has held the port’s corner since 1969 — wood-fired pizza, grilled fish, celebrity photographs by the till and boats reversing in close enough to pass the salt. It is not fine dining and has never wanted to be; it is the Riviera’s best floor show with food attached. The quayside row either side of it covers the same water view at friendlier prices, and aperitif hour along here is the town’s true religion.
The grand occasion: La Réserve
La Réserve de Beaulieu has been the coast’s special-occasion address since 1880 — a rose-pink palace on the water between town and Cap Ferrat, with a Michelin-starred dining room and a terrace that turns sunset into theatre. Book well ahead, dress properly, and save it for the night that deserves it. Between the extremes, the Place Marinoni’s terraces and the streets behind the market hide the small, honest bistros the town keeps for itself.

The tables you need a boat for
Beaulieu’s real dining secret is that the best tables of its neighbourhood are reached by water: Passable on the west side of Cap Ferrat, Anjuna on the sand at Èze-sur-Mer, La Mère Germaine on the Villefranche quay. All three keep pontoons, all three treat arrival-by-tender as the natural order of things, and all three are a routine part of our charter days — booked under your name when we confirm the boat.
The short answers
Yes, and on summer evenings you will want one — or go at lunch, when turnover is faster and the port show is just as good. Ask for the front row.
Elegant — jackets for dinner in the gastronomic room, resort-smart on the terrace. It is the one table in town where dressing up is part of the pleasure.
